How To Make Keto Ranch Dressing

Making what I call the “best keto salad dressing” requires a thousand dollars and ingredients found only in Antarctica! Nah! I’m just kidding, all the ingredients required can be gotten in a retail store close to you and won’t cost you much.

For starters, you’ll need sour cream, mayonnaise, and heavy cream.

If you are on a strict keto diet, you should stick to heavy cream, if not, you can try using buttermilk.

You’ll also need to get some vinegar handy, it gives the homemade keto ranch dressing a tangy zip! If you are going to use buttermilk in place of heavy cream, just a tablespoon of vinegar would do. Heavy cream would require about two tablespoons of white distilled vinegar.

Get herbs like parsley, dill, and chives. You can also throw in a bit of minced garlic and onion powder. Also, add a little bit of salt to taste.

For the next step, get an electronic or manual whisk, whisk everything together and store the mixture inside a mason jar for about 5 days in the freezer.

You don’t want to keep it in your fridge for more than 5 days, the fresh herbs and garlic would mess the whole keto friendly salad dressing up.

This ranch dressing is best enjoyed when it is cold.

  • 1 teaspoon of salt.

  • 2 tablespoons of dill.

  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder.

  • 1 teaspoon of chives.

  • ½ cup sour cream.

  • ½ cup of mayonnaise.

  • ¼ cup of heavy cream.

  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced).

  • 1 tablespoon of parsley.

  • 2 tablespoons of vinegar (white distilled vinegar).

Directions

  • In a small bowl, add chives, sour cream, onion powder, mayonnaise, garlic, parsley, vinegar, heavy cream, dill, and salt.
  • Whisk everything together and make sure it all combines well.
  • Turn the whole mixture into a clean Mason jar.
  • Seal the mason jar properly.
  • Store in the fridge for about 2-3 hours.
  • Serve cold with a salad of your choice or use as a keto ranch dip.

Notes

  • Like I said earlier, storing the ranch dip in the fridge for more than 5 days might not be a good idea. If you have a large family you make 2-3 mason jars of this ranch dressing, giving that your family can finish all jars in 5 days or less.
