You’d be amazed. So, I can make this all thanks to my Dad, back in the day, he would make this for us when Mommy went for long business trips.

low carb coleslaw

Ahhh, those fun moments. My dad was the best male cook back in the day.

Mommy would come home and ask “What did Dad serve?” And I’d scream “low carb coleslaw”. I didn’t know the meaning back then. He’d just call it low carb coleslaw or keto slaw and I’d call it that too.

I could go on and on with this short but intriguing story, but we need to cook right?

So, back to cooking! Here’s how to make the perfect no sugar coleslaw.

Keto Coleslaw Dressing: Best Method Yet!

For this Keto coleslaw dressing, we are going to use mayonnaise, a bit of heavy cream and we’ll also fuse in some yellow mustard that already been prepared, then a little seasoning. You’ll also need to get ready some garlic salt and black pepper. It is simple but yet very tasty.

If you are like me and you want a little bit of sweetness you can opt for a sweetener. It’ll help sweeten the coleslaw. Make sure you add just about a tablespoon of the sweetener.

If you aren’t into sweeteners, you can alternatively use tomatoes, here’s how; Get a large tomato and dice it up and then add it to the mix.

What To Do Next?

It’s time to stir up, say to yourself “stir up”. Take your keto coleslaw dressing and pour it all into already chopped cabbage.

It will all be like magic, how? The cabbage will release a bit of water while canoodling with the coleslaw dressing, thus making the whole coleslaw juicier. Oh Yes! Foodgasm happening already!

Worried about the total number of carbs in coleslaw? You don’t need to be keto coleslaw carbs aren’t always that much, in fact, this particular one just has about 3 grams of carbs.

Refrigerating Coleslaw: Yay or Nay?

Yay, you can actually store your newly prepared coleslaw for later consumption, in fact, one of the best ways to enjoy your coleslaw is after it gets cold a bit. However, I would not advise you to keep the coleslaw in the fridge for more than 4 days.

How Should This Coleslaw Be Served?

Side dish! Side dish! Side dish! The Keto Coleslaw would serve as an amazing side dish, you could even have it with one or two chicken drumsticks by the side depending on how much you finish. I have a brother that’ll comfortably finish up to 5 chicken drumsticks at once.

How he does it, I have no idea. I can barely finish 1 chicken drumstick.  I can’t save myself if I were to eat 5 drumsticks to live. It’s that bad guys!

Other things you could serve alongside the Keto Coleslaw recipe are low carb pasta, pork tenderloin, keto meatloaf and more. There are lots of eatables that would go well with the Keto Coleslaw, you can choose to get creative yourself, just make sure you think KETO all the way.

Final Words

On your first try, it might take you more than 5 minutes to make this Keto slaw, but with time and practice, You might even be able to make it in less than 5 minutes.

This keto coleslaw recipe is one that would make your friends and family love and appreciate you when. I mean, everyone would crave for more. But consider this, you need to ask your friends or family if they would prefer sweetener or diced tomato. I know a lot of people that don’t take sweeteners. Personally, I love sweeteners in specific meals, but my grandma won’t go anywhere near sweeteners.
