You need to get together these ingredients. (cream cheese, mustard powder, Gruyere cheese, heavy cream, cheddar)

For the Gruyere Cheese, you can substitute with parmesan cheese or even Monterey jack cheese. It depends on what flavor you want.

The first step to making this keto cheese sauce for broccoli is to heat up the cream, do this over medium heat. Don’t allow the cream to boil. While the cream is a hot stir in some cream cheese.

Get ready mustard power, sprinkle it inside also and then stir the whole thing properly. 

Now, you need to add the gruyere cheese and cheddar, but before doing that, turn off the heat. Continue stirring the whole mixture until it is smooth and melted fully.

Serve hot, if you allow the sauce to get cold before you serve, it will thicken and you might not enjoy it, so make sure you serve the homemade cheese sauce hot.

  • Add a little more cream to the bowl containing the sauce.

Yes, you can choose to store your easy keto cheese sauce in the freezer or fridge for later use. Make sure you use a sealable container. Whenever you want to have some easy cheese sauce, just take it out of the freezer, if it is too cold, you can place the container from the freezer in a larger container with water inside so it can defrost.

Will My Kids Love This Keto Cheese Sauce Recipe?

I can’t speak for your kids, but my kids love this sauce with chicken drumsticks. Basically, it depends on what you are serving the sauce with. If served with broccoli, 90% of kids will reject it. However, if you serve with chicken drumsticks, fathead pizza or pork tenderloin, they should love it. 

Healthwise, it is totally okay to serve cheese to your kids depending on their age but make sure you don’t do it too much.

  • 2 Oz of cream cheese.

  • 3 Oz of grated Gruyere cheese.

  • ½ teaspoon of ground mustard.

  • ½ teaspoon of pepper.

  • 1 ¼ cups of whip cream.

  • 2 tablespoons of butter.

  • 6 Oz of grated cheddar.

Directions

  • On a medium-sized pan add heavy cream, cream cheese, and butter. 
  • Turn on the heat to medium and cook until the cheese and butter melts.
  • Slowly whisk in the pepper and ground mustard.
  • Turn off the heat, whisk in the gruyere cheese and grated cheddar, whisk everything together until it becomes really smooth.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

  • After making this keto cheese dip, make sure you serve while it is hot. If you allow it to get cold the sauce will thicken and almost be impossible to enjoy. However, when the sauce gets cold, you can simply add a little more cream and microwave.
