The answer is Yes. But you need to make sure you are eating the right one. Most kinds of pasta are made from wheat flour and are not keto-friendly, you can, however, find friendly a keto-friendly pasta. There are lots and lots of carb-free pasta and keto noodles that can be bought online.

The Art of Making Low Carb Spaghetti

Making a low carb spaghetti isn’t difficult, you just need to make sure you are doing it right. It is also important that you use low carb noodles or spaghetti during the making process.

Choose Your Pasta Option: There are two ways this can work. The first is going to Amazon and ordering an already made low carb spaghetti and the second option is making one for yourself.

Firstly, it’s not actual spaghetti, remember we are trying as much as possible to ensure a completely low carb pasta. Don’t get sad though, Spaghetti squash is similar to actual spaghetti, you won’t notice much difference. 

In fact, you’ll crave for more after your first bite. I have seen lots of low carb pasta alternatives. Spaghetti squash is my all-time favorite.

For this pasta recipe, we’ll be using an amazing carbonara sauce, trust me, it’s quite tasty. 

Can I Store This Pasta Recipe In The Freezer?

Yes, it is. Leaving the spaghetti squash carbonara recipe in a freezer will preserve it. You can leave it there for 3-5 days and eat it afterward without any health risk. But be sure to seal it while in the freezer, do not leave it open. Secondly, make sure your freezer is plugged in and working properly. 

When you are ready to eat your pasta, simply take it out of the freezer, and then into a microwave.

Can I Use This Low Carb Pasta As Main/Side Dish

Whichever you prefer. This mouth-watering Spaghetti squash carbonara recipe can serve as a main dish and side dish, it all depends on your preference. I like to serve mine with some chicken for extra protein.

With less than 10 grams of carbs, this creamy spaghetti squash carbonara recipe will leave you in awe. You’ll surely love it. Your kids might too.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of Olive oil.

  • 1 large Egg.

  • 4 cloves of garlic.

  • 6 tablespoons of heavy cream.

  • Sea salt.

  • 1 large Spaghetti squash.

  • ½ cup of parmesan cheese.

  • ½ cup of green peas.

  • ¾ cup of bacon bits.

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to about 189 ℃ then slice the spaghetti squash in half. 
  • Remove the seeds then place it in a lined baking sheet and cut the side down. 
  • Bake for about 40-45 minutes. (Only remove when you notice that a fork can easily go through the skin.
  • Place a large pan on your stove and set the stove low heat.
  • Pour in olive oil and increase to medium heat, fry the bacon and garlic for about 2-3 minutes until the bacon is very hot.
  • Throw-in some green peas and fry until the peas are bright green. 
  • Remove from heat.
  • In a large bowl, whisk parmesan cheese, 1 large egg, and cheese.
  • Using a fork, pull out the already baked pasta and stir inside the egg parmesan mixture.
  • Add the bacon mixture and a little bit of salt to taste. 
  • Use your discretion to garnish with parmesan cheese or fresh parsley.
  • Serve.
